Central Elementary Master Builders robotics team wins first place Rookie Award at competition

The Master Builders Robotics Team competed in the Battle of the Atlantic Robotics Competition sponsored by the National World War II Museum in New Orleans.
Team members and their parents toured the museum and learned more about the history of WWII through exhibits and interactive displays. They also enjoyed sightseeing around New Orleans. The team competed in the Robotics Challenge on May 14 where they presented their engineering project, as well as competing in three rounds of robotics challenges. The Master Builders finished with the First Place Rookie Award and ninth overall. A total of 34 teams competed. Team members are Kaleb Ballard, Kyle Ballard, Matthew Eubanks, Wyatt Kimbrell, David Lee, and Noah Thornton. They are coached by Meg Aman Masters. Central graduate Dre Burton is the team mentor and volunteer.
