A group of approximately 30 people dressed in their hippiest attire enjoyed meals at Triple R while having a groovy time during the Hippie Haven event, which was said to be “far out!” Attendees expressed that Triple R Cafe, a Rockford restaurant, outdid itself with great food and great service during the Hippie Haven event. Attendees decked out in tie-dye, fringe, flowers, peace signs, and more enjoyed the afternoon together last Saturday while also donating money to go toward the opening and operation of the Coosa County Animal Shelter. Angel Cooper, who spearheaded and organized the event, reported that they raised $942 for the shelter. She shared that they all had a blast and described it as a wonderful event. Additionally, the hippiest male award went to Gordon Gogan, and Janet Gogan won the hippiest female award. Photos submitted by Scott White
