A Goodwater man was arrested last Saturday on a drug-related charge after being served a warrant.
Sheriff Michael Howell reported that his office had a warrant on a case involving Christopher Strawbridge for first-degree receiving stolen property. He reported that Goodwater Police Department recently stopped Strawbridge, and the Sheriff’s Office served him the felony warrant.
They proceeded to take Strawbridge to the Coosa County Jail in Rockford for booking. While in the jail, law enforcement officers discovered that he had a bag of methamphetamine on him.
Strawbridge, 41 years old, was then arrested on that charge, as well. This resulted in him being charged with receiving stolen property and possession of methamphetamine.
His total bond was set at $15,000, and as of press time he remained in custody at the Coosa County Jail awaiting trial.
