Under the direction of Science Coach Shelley Wood (pictured), ninth grade biology students Kelsey McLaughlin and Serenity Goolsby dissect a clam (mollusk) as part of their survey of the animal kingdom.
Biology students Ashton Robbins and Traci Cox are shown dissecting a squid (another mollusk) to identify the ink sac, pen and beak. Students also learned how the squid uses jet propulsion to swim quickly.
Physics students Brody Hyatt, Makenna Sanders and Brynli Mitchell show how they used light boxes, optical benches, mirrors, and lenses as the class studied the Laws of Reflection and Refraction.
