Special to the News
The Coosa County High School Alumni Banquet returns this year and will be held the third Saturday in April as was traditionally done, making this year’s event tomorrow, April 16.
A social hour of fellowship will begin at 5 p.m., followed by dinner at 6 p.m. The banquet will be held at what is known to alumni as the new gym, now the Rockford Event Center, across from the Sheriff’s Office.
The Alumni Association of Coosa County High School is excited to restart the annual banquet. After being unable to meet the last two years because of COVID-19, in order to catch up this year’s banquet will honor the classes of 1970, 1971 and 1972.
Please bring a covered dish to share, as well as your appetite. The association will provide drinks, ice, cups, plates, silverware, and napkins. Dress is comfortable and casual.
Everyone is welcome to attend, and no reservations are required. However, when guests arrive they are asked to be sure to sign in.
That registration information will be used to update addresses and to hopefully create an email database as an additional reminder of this event.
The association and fellow alumni look forward to seeing everyone tomorrow for the banquet. For more information, contact Karen Hammond, alumni association secretary and treasurer, at 256-404-2926.
