In accordance with Title 40, Chapter 10, Code of Alabama 1975 (§40-10-180 through 200), the Coosa County tax collecting official has authority to auction and sell tax liens on properties for which ad valorem property taxes are delinquent.
A Tax Lien Auction will be held on Thursday, May 12, 2022, to collect the 2021 delinquent taxes. The live (in-person) auction will be conducted at the Coosa County Courthouse located at 9709 U.S. Highway 231, Rockford, and will begin at 10 a.m. on the set day of the auction and will continue until all delinquent taxes are satisfied.
A complete listing of delinquent parcels will be published at the addresses listed below and also at the Coosa County Courthouse. Persons interested in participating must be pre-registered to be able to bid.
Bidder pre-registration will begin Monday, May 2, and close at 4 p.m. on Wednesday, May 11, the day before the auction. This will allow approval of the required registration form and bidder notification.
Each approved bidder will receive a bidder number upon their arrival on the day of the live auction. Detailed information regarding the Tax Lien Auction can be found at www.coosacountyal.com and follow the Revenue Commissioner link or at https://coosa.capturecama.com.

Payment must be made by cash, cashier’s check, money order, or a valid credit/debit card (service fee will apply to credit/debit card usage) by 4 p.m. the day of the sale, Thursday, May 12. Personal checks will not be accepted as a form of payment.
