Central High School students share their final presentation with Limitless judges from the left, founder Brittany Hogan, Pastor Christopher Todd, Chauncy Tuck, Courtney Layfield from United Way, Lynn Anne Castleberry, and Sharon Haynes from the Coosa County Extension Office. Limitless Groups is a program within Empowered to Conquer that aims to propel ninth-twelfth grade students toward academic success and prepare them for life after high school. They offer an 8-week, standards based curriculum designed to teach students various skills necessary for life success. Developed by educators, the curriculum is designed to ensure students are able to determine what their skills are and set goals to build a career that compliments these skills. Discovering and fulfilling their purpose is the ultimate goal of the program.
The program concludes each year with students presenting a final presentation of what they’ve learned and how they are working to pursue their purpose. Awards range from laptops and tailored suits to gift cards and portfolios to equip students along their journey. In addition, a senior is awarded a $2,500 scholarship to assist them in pursuing their life’s passion.
