Congratulations, Elizabeth Fulton-Hickey!

    

 

Jason and Teresa Hickey of Hanover would like to announce their daughter’s graduation from the University of Montevallo. They now reside in Huntsville, Alabama.

Elizabeth Marie Fulton-Hickey, a 2017 graduate of Coosa County High School, will graduate from University of Montevallo on May 7, 2022, with a Bachelors of Science in Education of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing from the College of Education & Human Development, Department of Teaching, Leadership, and Technology.

During her time at Montevallo Elizabeth was a member of Junior Panhellenic and participated in Greek Life Intramurals.

She is Purple (PV!) and contributed by being a spirit member and a member of side space.

She served as a Pride Leader, Diamond Sister, Director of Alumni Relations, Vice President of Membership Development, Vice President of Membership Experience, and attended ADPi International Convention in Atlanta, Georgia, for Alpha Delta Pi Sorority.

She is a member of the NHLS and a past Treasurer for the ASL Club.

Elizabeth completed internships at Georgia School for the Deaf and Tennessee School for the Deaf – Nashville, as well as pre-internships at Mississippi School for the Deaf and various other deaf and mainstream schools in and around Shelby County. She also worked at Ardent Preschool in Pelham, summer camps and other after school care with Shelby County Board of Education.

Elizabeth’s future plans include teaching the deaf and hard of hearing or doing early intervention for parents and their children who are diagnosed with a hearing loss.

Our sweet Elizabeth, we love you so much! We are so proud of you! Grandmama, Papa, and MeMaw are watching you from Heaven!
