The Master Builders Robotics team competed in the First Lego League State Competition in Fort Payne on March 5. The team completed three rounds of robot missions, as well as presenting robot design and an innovation project to the judges. The theme of this year’s competition was “Cargo Connect;” the innovation project centered around the way to provide fresh food resources to rural residents through drone deliveries.
The team raised their Robot Round scores from their qualifier scores. The Master Builders are now preparing to travel to New Orleans in May to compete at the World War II Museum robotics competition. The team is currently working to raise money to cover expenses for the trip.
Team members attending the state competition were Amos Polk, David Lee, Kaleb Ballard, Wyatt Kimbrell, Noah Thornton, Matthew Eubanks, Kyle Ballard, and Kaden Tindall. Thank you to their coach, Meg Aman Masters, and their parents for all their support and hard work.
