While people and plants alike have been enjoying the warmer days lately and the spring-like weather, more cold snaps are still to come. Currently the high for tomorrow is forecast to be in the upper 30s with a low in the low 20s. There’s also a forecast chance of snow for northern Alabama. Despite rain in the forecast, temperatures will rise again next week with a high in the mid-70s expected for March 20, the first day of spring. However, even when spring officially arrives, southerners know to still expect cooler days ahead with cold snaps for dogwood winter, blackberry winter and whippoorwill winter still to come.
