I, Randall Dunham, would like to take this opportunity to announce that I am running for re-election for District 1 County Commission.
I would also like to thank you, the citizens of District 1, for allowing me to serve as your commissioner for 16 years. To my fellow commissioners, I appreciate you having faith and trust in me, allowing me to serve as chairman of the Coosa County Commission.
In the 16 years I have served as commissioner, I have earned a graduate degree from the Alabama County Commissioners Association in local government. This degree consists of 120 hours of course work focusing on the ins and outs of county government.
I am now the senior member of the commission, and in these trying times having an experienced proven leader matters. We are on the brink of the largest economic development in the history of Coosa County.
I have played an instrumental role in landing this business from day one. Alabama Graphite is investing more than $200 million in Coosa County during the Phase 1 development.
This company will provide out citizens with 100 high quality jobs paying an average wage of $21.15 per hour.
Providing quality jobs for our citizens is a definite plus, but the greatest benefit and what I’m most proud of is the investment in our children. From day one, Alabama Graphite will provide $300,000 to $400,000 in school tax for our Coosa County School System. Our children are our future.
In conclusion, I ask that you all stay the course. With your continued support we will move our county forward while providing benefits for generations to come.
Honesty, integrity and doing the right things will always win in the end. I humbly ask for your support and vote on May 24, 2022.
