This week marks the State of the Union address. It is time to review, take stock, and look at where we are going.
Well, I think we need some State of the Community addresses here. Especially as qualifying for the exciting upcoming elections wraps up. The mayor of Rockford, the Commission chair, or perhaps each commissioner, should review their accomplishments of the past year, highlight issues they are working on, and… dare I say… set some goals for the future.
Maybe we don’t need public meetings for this. Poor Ms. Christa works hard enough. And so many people are still getting sick. But these addresses NEED to be made public. Published in the paper, posted in public places and so forth.
We are watching! And we are your eyes in the sky.
