In the true spirit of the season, the SOS Queendom was quite busy during the Christmas holiday week.
The organization was able to provide Christmas gifts to almost 20 residents at Goodwater Healthcare Center. The gifts consisted primarily of new clothes, including beautiful blouses, skirts and 2-piece outfits.
Latisha Simmons had help delivering the gifts from this year’s winner of the gingerbread house contest, Jekayla Patterson, and her mother, Judy Pearson. They delivered the gifts in beautiful gift boxes and gift bags and placed them under the tree for the residents to enjoy opening later.
Simmons with SOS Queendom said, “This year has been extremely rough with the pandemic, and many residents don’t have many visitors especially now during the pandemic, so I wanted to make sure that they didn’t feel forgotten.”
