A Goodwater man was arrested last month on a drug-related charge while being served an indictment.
On November 18, deputies were serving 45-year-old Lonnie Grogan a grand jury indictment for first-degree theft of property at his residence in Goodwater. They made contact with Grogan at his house, and Sheriff Michael Howell stated that in plain view there was methamphetamine inside his residence.
Grogan was then arrested and charged with possession of controlled substance for the methamphetamine, as well as his indictment for theft of property.
His total bond for both was set at $20,000. He has since been released on bond to await trial.
