An Equality man was arrested last week in Kellyton for drug trafficking and other related charges.
Sheriff Michael Howell reported that he and Chief Deputy George Long were patrolling the Kellyton area when they stopped at Dollar General. There they found a man passed out in a vehicle in the store parking lot.
They made contact with the driver, 29-year-old Sean Michael Ewbank, and discovered that he was under the influence of a narcotic.
After conducting a search of Ewbank, Howell said they found a large amount of methamphetamine on him. The exact amount was later determined to be 28.9 grams of meth.
Because of the amount, Ewbank was charged with drug trafficking. He was also charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and public intoxication.
His total bond for those three charges was set at $12,500. As of press time he remained in custody at the Coosa County Jail awaiting trial.
