Oh what a powerful worship service we had last Sunday at Rockford Church of God. I am so grateful and thankful! My soul was craving that refill, and I received it just when I needed it. What better time to receive a Thanksgiving blessing during this Thanksgiving season?
However, Thanksgiving season is always in my heart. Every day I have something to thank God for, despite the trials I face every day. We all do, but we must still be thankful, because we are still here. Let’s tell God “thank you.”
Happy Thanksgiving to everyone. Enjoy your meal and pray for those who don’t have food to eat that God will provide.
While we are eating on Thursday think of those loved ones and lay something aside that you want to eat badly to remember and understand how these poor people feel when they are hungry, or they just want to eat something and don’t have it. Too many of us throw so much food away during the holiday time and never think of others who are not as blessed as we are.
Oh, back to the worship service on Sunday. The presence of God was so heavy that it was too much to handle. Minister Chris Hill from Clanton was the guest speaker, and he allowed the Holy Spirit to take over in full control.
His singers were the best I’ve heard in a long, long time. I am still feeling it.
When the brother sang, “I’d rather have Jesus than silver and gold,” I lost it. I had been wanting to hear that song for quite some time and God answered me with my cup running over. Because this brother sang that song with such an anointing.
My thanks to God again. So what, it’s Thanksgiving time.
I was blessed to see my Union Square girls, Kaylyn and Opi, at church on Sunday. I am proud of them. They always make my day with their kindness and smiling faces. I love those girls and their parents, Tim and Lynn.
I am surrounded by nice people and my echo says “thank you.”
One of my greatest “thank yous” is to God for giving me the greatest mother there ever will be and His son Jesus. They both taught me love, and love conquers all things.
Happy birthday to Ida Hosea and to all November babies.
Let’s continue to keep Mrs. Hosea in prayer and our country. We need to pray now more than ever for our country to survive. The old new guy has stuck his tongue out again.
“Believe right; you will live right.”
