Pet of the Week: Phyllis
My brother visited from England and returned to search for a small farm. He started off with nine cows, all named, and one was Phyllis, he said because of temperament/personality. He said he told our mother the cow was named after her, and she took it well.
You don’t hear the name Phyllis often, but this week, one of the two featured pets ready for adoption from the Wetumpka shelter is named Phyllis.
Phyllis is a 2-year-old lab mix and is super sweet at about 60 pounds. She has a gentle disposition, loves attention and belly rubs, and she is great with other dogs. Personally, I love labs mixed with anything; they are the best dogs, usually ever loyal, attentive, easy to train, smart, obedient, and affectionate.
In fact, our golden mix likes to get up in your lap and snuggle into your neck, then reposition to snuggle and lick the other side. He knows the word “love.”
So, Phyllis is hoping to get the chance of a good loving home to share with her family.
Until next time,
The Dog Lover
