Rosie’s Ramblings
Rosie Morgan
Most of us don’t mind staying home in order to help everyone stay healthy, but the trouble is that we don’t see anyone and catch up with any local doings and goings on. Rockford is the county seat, and businesses have come and gone.
I can always keep my mind busy, and when I have the notion I write a letter or do some knitting. If energy was plentiful I’d really get busy. Not to mention the small local groups and excursions that help us share news.
I just found out that Jenny Joiner of Rockford has opened her own restaurant in the refurbished (great looking) building which was formerly Crew’s Drugstore. She had a “soft” opening in October and now is open to serve you, offering sandwiches, salads and lunch specials.
Like many of you, I long for life to be more normal and hope it happens soon, in time to have a lovely tea party outside for ladies and gents if they’d like to join in. And of course ladies in summery, lacy dresses, and men in a tie. Plus perfect weather. Well, we should dream; it is good for our emotions and gives us something to look forward to in the future. Think about it for the next few years; it is good to dream big!
Our television satellite has not performed well at all. We’ve had the same provider, and it has gradually become worse and worse, and you have to beg for a service call. We had two Visio TVs; the newest one just died. I am just not very good with any sort of technology.
Hope everyone enjoyed dressing up for Halloween. Now we plan Thanksgiving – no gifts, just good food.
Until next week, keep smiling.
