A two-vehicle crash that occurred at approximately 1:10 a.m. Saturday, October 16, has claimed the life of a Luverne man.
John M. Jones, 31, was driving a 2013 Ford F-150 in the wrong lane when he collided head-on with a 2021 Volvo VNR tractor-trailer, driven by Quindarius Posey, 25, of Honoraville. Jones was pronounced deceased on the scene.
The crash occurred on U.S. Highway 331 north, near the 83 mile marker, approximately 6.7 miles north of Lapine in Montgomery County.
Nothing further is available as Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.
