A Coosa County man was arrested Tuesday on an assault charge after allegedly using a knife on a victim.
Sheriff Michael Howell reported that deputies were dispatched to Mims Ferry Road, near the Chilton County line, in reference to a subject being assaulted by a knife.
Upon arriving at the scene, deputies made contact with the victim, who had a cut on his arm. Through their investigation, Howell said the deputies were able to determine that Stanley Tucker was arguing with the victim and proceeded to pull out a knife and cut the victim.
Tucker, 58 years old of Mims Ferry Road, was arrested on October 12 and charged with second-degree assault. Howell said that charge was determined because of the use of a deadly weapon and causing injury.
As of press time, Tucker remained in custody at the Coosa County Jail with no bond yet set.
Anyone who observes or suspects illegal activity is encouraged to report it to the Coosa County Sheriff’s Office at 256-377-4922 or online at www.coosacountyso.org. Anonymous tips are also welcome.
