The five most used words over the coming weeks and months will be “We tried to tell you.”
In other words, everything that Congressman Ron Paul tried to warn the voting public about during his presidential runs in 2008 and 2012 are now starting to happen all around this nation.
The two-party system has led to blow-back after blow-back, forcing the pendulum to swing in ever increasing arcs. George Bush Sr. led to Bill Clinton. … Bill Clinton led to George Bush Jr. … George Bush Jr. led to Barack Obama. Barack Obama led to Donald Trump. And Donald Trump led to Joe Biden. … What will the extreme blow-back thrust upon we the people in the 2024 presidential election? I legitimately fear the prospects.
The Democrats have brought on wanton inflation by devaluing the dollar through their spending programs designed to buy them future votes.
The Republicans did no better when they held power under Trump.
If either of the two parties were truly capable of fixing anything that is broken in America, one would think that they would have done so already, at any of the numerous times throughout the last century and a half that either party held a majority of power. Instead, they have worked together through bipartisanship to escalate the national debt to a ridiculously unsustainable level and saddling you the U.S. citizen and your children and their children with that bill.
Remember, folks, NOTHING is ever free, and the federal government has no money that isn’t paid for through taxation of the middle and poorer classes, as the uber rich have ways to skirt paying taxes. And no, taxing the rich will not reduce the deficit or the tax burden upon the poor, as the rich will either pass on the additional tax costs to the consumers of their products, or they will move their wealth off-shore to a tax haven somewhere else on this planet.
No matter what the government does, it tends to only make things worse.
Our invasion of Afghanistan in 2001 and the 20-year long War on Terror cost thousands in the lives of American servicemen and women, cost hundreds of thousands in innocent civilian lives, for an end result of the enrichment of those in the military industrial complex, the return of control of Afghanistan to the Taliban and the abandonment of thousands of Americans and pro-U.S. Afghans to meet whatever fate the Taliban may have for them.
Our war in Iraq did little better. While we invaded Iraq for weapons of mass destruction that did not exist and killed hundreds of thousands of people who were either protecting their own country or were just innocent bystanders, we still achieved nothing for that effort. Saddam Hussein was not housing Al-Qaeda, and Al-Qaeda was not in Iraq until we brought the war there.
In the end, we were never legitimately threatened by Iraq, and we are no safer from terrorists than we were before. Yet, we have all had to surrender freedoms and liberties in the name of this alleged Global War on Terror.
In order to travel, we must be groped by the TSA, an agency that has caught exactly zero (0) terrorists. We must throw away a bottle of water because it could be a bomb, into a trashcan that is right there by everyone in the airport. We must wear a useless mask, that will stop no virus, because it makes people “feel” safer.
Biden, assuming a power that is NOT enumerated within our Constitution, has made orders to mandate vaccinations that are not guaranteed to work, and have known issues, as a requirement for employment for about two-thirds of our nation, forcing thousands upon thousands to be fired from critical positions. All the while, Big Pharma is raking in the dough for every dose of vaccine that they sell, enriching their stock-holders, notably the wealthy and well connected, and most in our government.
Every bit of digital communication is monitored by the NSA and the CIA, either without a 4th Amendment warrant, or with a secret FISA warrant that no one can contest.
All that the Republicans and Democrats have done successfully is work together to maintain their control of power, either one over the other, or to win it back again, while passing legislation that keeps all other parties from having equal access to the election platform.
Our economy is collapsing. The dollar is worth less and less daily, as it becomes worthless. And in the end, it is the everyday citizen who is to blame for limiting their voting choices to Party A or Party B, or not even bothering to vote at all. There is a quote that is attributed to Albert Einstein, where he said that “the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result.”
And so I ask you, the voting citizen, if you are truly satisfied with our current elected government, or would you prefer to see change? And if you prefer change, will you change how you did (or did not) vote, or will you let the Republicans and Democrats run what is left of our economy into oblivion?
