The Coosa County Sheriff’s Office and the Central Coosa Honor Guard led the Homecoming parade to the football stadium last Friday. Band, football, cheerleaders, and Homecoming representatives also participated.
Students and parents worked for a month creating the five float entries this year. The eigth grade float theme was Grill the Rams, the ninth grade float theme was Rock the Rams, the tenth grade float theme was Wham the Rams, the eleventh grade float theme was Trash the Rams, and the twelfth grade float theme was Ram Roast. Central High School senior government students create children’s books about the Declaration of Independence and share with their elementary reading buddies.
Science students continue to conduct experiments and hands-on lessons in the labs weekly.
Physics students raced matchbox cars as part of their motion unit. Students then had to calculate how fast the car was going at the end of the 2.2 meter ramp.
