One suspect has been arrested with another arrest pending against another individual for a recent case of theft and burglary.
On September 20, a report was filed with the Sheriff’s Office regarding a burglary that had occurred at a residence on County Road 70 in the Stewartville community.
Sheriff Michael Howell reported that the investigation into that case determined that two people were responsible for the burglary.
On Tuesday, September 21, Christy Chamblee, 47 years old of Sylacauga, was arrested and charged with third-degree burglary and fourth-degree theft of property.
Her total bond was set at $12,500, and as of press time she remained in custody at the Coosa County Jail awaiting trial.
Howell reported that charges are pending for the second suspect allegedly involved in the case.
