Buzzy the Buzzard
Woo-hoo! My favorite holiday is just around the corner, and Rockford is getting into the spirit with a yard decorating contest. You can get an entry form with all the information at Town Hall, First Bank and the News office.
I am sure to see a lot of yards that are spooktacular. All the brethren like Halloween because we feel like we fit in, at least for a little while. All those bats, goblins and witches flying around, a few more buzzards can join the party.
I want to host a buzzard photo contest. From now until Christmas, you can submit photos to Ms. Christa or Ms. Lydia at the News, or email them to christa@thecoosacountynews.com. The winner will get a free one-year subscription. The photos will be printed as there is space available, with proper credit, of course. Be watching for “Where’s Buzzy?” in upcoming editions.
In the meantime, I’ll be your eye in the sky!
