Union Square News
Ruby Johnson
Union Square is always happy and grateful to welcome Coosa County’s great leaders to our Neighborhood Watch meetings, the former ones and the present ones. They give the meetings another purpose for our success for a great neighborhood and the communities of Coosa County.
We appreciate them and also enjoy the fellowship and their input to help everyone and not just Union Square. Sheriff Howell does a good job sharing his report and explaining things well.
For the October meeting we will enjoy a Crock Pot meal. As Kenny would say, “I’m ready to eat” (with a big smile).
Our prayers go out to Union Square’s Mrs. Cora D. Edward, who lost her son-in-law, Mr. Leonard People, husband of her daughter, Rita. Also pray for her health to get better, and let’s keep the families in prayer.
Our condolences go to the families of Mack Carden, whom I used to babysit when I was a young teenager. His mother, Brookie, and aunt Louise Crew were two beautiful, kind ladies of Rockford and Hanover. Mack was named after his grandfather, Mack People. I was sorry to hear of Mack’s death, and I’m praying for Larry Carden, the only one left out of the four boys (men) I’ll say.
Happy birthday to Union Square’s Johnny Schmidt and all September babies.
Prayer warriors, please keep me in your prayers. I am having a rotator cuff issue that’s driving me crazy. Now I can really relate to Tim Taylor. I thought I knew, but now I know! We love you, Tim, Lynn and the girls, and it’s from the bottom of our hearts.
Prayer warriors, let’s keep all churches and gatherings that’s with a large crowd in sincere prayer. This COVID-19 is not a joke! Be blessed, everyone, and wear your mask, and please wash your hands and stay safe. I have lost too many loved ones to COVID-19 and don’t want to lose any more.
We pray that everyone will respect others and do what is right; obey the law and God. “Come on, people.” Stop being stubborn and lose that pride. One day every knee will bow at the name of Jesus, whether you believe Him or not.
Thank you, Lady McDonald, for introducing me to the patch. They helped!
