CHS band, cheerleaders, football season
The football season kicked-off last Friday with the opening game at Verbena. Tenth grader Cassidy Howard, number 9, scored a touchdown against Verbena.
The band and cheerleaders did a great job getting the Cougar fans pumped up. We appreciate the community coming out to support our students.

CHS students have been busy in science labs with hands-on learning
Mrs. Thompson’s science classes measured gummy bears as part of an experiment teaching the steps of the scientific method.
Mrs. White’s physics classes discovered which factors affect the period of a pendulum, and her physical science classes measured volume and length of metals to calculate density, as well as used graduated cylinders to measure liquid volume.
The Coosa County Schools’ science teachers work collaboratively with science coach, Mrs. Wood, to provide rigorous science instruction.
