Much sadness, needed joy
It has not been an easy moment for me, these last weeks. But I still had the pleasure of enjoying my granddaughter Amirah from North Carolina for two months and enjoyed being with my great-granddaughters G’nise and Chelsey. They made it a little easier for me, and I was very happy. Thank God. I really needed that joy.
It seems that every week “Union Square News” has been about death, and I am sad about it, and I’m more saddened this week to hear of another friend and classmate of mine, Mrs. Nannie Edward Wilson, losing her granddaughter to death. We are praying for the families, and let’s continue to pray for the Tuck family, the Wyckoff family, the Whetstone family, and the Meadows family. We love you, Courtney and Joseph, and Bryan, too.
I don’t feel like writing this week. However, in my grief, I do wish Union Square residents Mrs. Joyce Taylor and Ms. Janice Kilgore a happy birthday on the same day, and birthday wishes go out to families and friends Daniel Robinson, Robert Johnson, Maxine R. Ware, Wilhelmina H. Riley, LouVelma Whetstone, D’ollis Lee, Landon Lee Hill, Thelma Hill, Lee Cousin, Harvey Batton, David Johnson Sr., David Johnson Jr., and to all of you August babies. We love you.
To my readers, I love you, but I have to shut down now. You’ll hear from me next week, if it’s God’s will. Be blessed, and wear your mask. Let’s keep praying for children, teachers and schools all over the world.
“No matter what happens in our lives, we can always be thankful for God’s presence.”
“Give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.” – I Thessalonians 5:18
“Everything ends; thanks to Jesus Christ, so does death.”
“I am the alpha and the omega, the first and the last, the beginning and the end.” – Revelation 22:13
