Dream Pie
Recipe submitted by Rosie Morgan
In the 1980s I worked for an ophthalmologist, and us girls worked extra hours on weekdays in order to be off on Fridays. We rotated bringing lunch for our half-hour break. Mrs. Dorothy Bone of Billingsley worked for Jenkins Brick. Her daughter Tammy worked with us, and Mrs. Bone often brought a dessert as our special treat. We all loved this one. I hope you will try this dream pie and enjoy it.
Ingredients:
1 large cool whip, thawed
1 can condensed milk
1 can peaches
1 can crushed pineapple
1 can mandarin oranges
3 Tbs. lemon juice
2 baked pie shells, or one 9×13” dish
Directions:
Preheat the oven to 400 degrees. Cut peaches and oranges in small pieces, and drain all juice before combining.
Mix all ingredients together and pour into two 9″ cooked pie shells or one 9×13 dish.
Bake until brown. Enjoy!
