Three topics covered ad nauseum
Here we go again! We finally had our lives back, and now there are more calls to go back to masks – both inside and outside! Many of us gave in to the sheep mentality about the vaccine only because we wanted to get out of the masks and/or because of the fear of not being allowed to travel without our “cards.”
It’s strange that as soon as people began to move on that a new strain is discovered, the media goes ballistic again and that the percentages of infection and death are overblown. As I type this, the low numbers of vaccinations has been reported as old news, and the country is now 70% vaccinated. If this is a true concern for the safety of our population, there needs to be some SERIOUS investigation into the origins and who should be held accountable – this should not be partisan politics.
The concerning factor to me is that the vaccine is supposedly not preventing infections of COVID-19, much less the Delta strain. The “authorities” keep moving the goal line, the science, the facts, and the numbers – what are they trying to hide or trying to keep our attention away from?
The media – at least FOX, OAN, and Newsmax, plus local radio talk shows – only have three topics, and they repeat them ad nauseum. COVID-19, wide open borders and triple-digit increases in crime. I don’t know what they are talking about on mainstream media because I doubt they want to highlight any of these topics unless they are using them only to keep people afraid and cowering at home. But, the administration is doing absolutely NOTHING to fix any of it. But I’m not convinced the president is even aware of what is going on except what his staff allows him to know.
I am totally confused over the term “apprehended” when talking about the number of people coming across the border. Generally speaking I think of being arrested, caught, or in custody. But they don’t clarify how many are immediately released into the United States or are only held until transportation is arranged to take them in to the interior of the country and to let them out. The numbers are staggering and, at this rate, it will not be long before there are more illegal immigrants in the United States than there are legal, American-born people. And just what do you think that will mean for our future elections?
What did people think was going to happen when they started calling for the defunding of law enforcement? Did they REALLY think the criminals would just go away? Do these people really want there to be no law and order? If so, they are getting a good dose of it.
We now see groups of people going into stores and loading bags with merchandise and then just walking out without being challenged. We see criminals shooting, beating and attacking innocent citizens on the streets with no concern about being arrested. Why should police officers bother to arrest someone who will be back on the street with no bond before the ink on the report is dry?
The judicial system is broken, and law enforcement will never get a handle on crime until that is fixed. And then, the police need to be given back the authority and backing to get the criminals off the street. And – there must be some type of STRONG punishment for repeat offenders.
The 2022 election cycle is heating up across the country, in addition to here in Alabama. Get ready and start doing your due diligence in researching candidates, and don’t just vote based on name recognition alone. It just might be that the reason their name is so familiar is for negative reasons and not positive reasons.
I am excited to see five military veterans running for the U.S. House of Representatives in different areas of the country to unseat the current members. We need more veterans willing to step forward and help us save our country. They fought and sacrificed for our freedom so they understand the threats we face much better than the regular man or woman on the street. So, if in doubt and one candidate is a veteran, consider them first!
