Anything is possible, even an animal shelter
I have been trying to dry my feathers in the dead pine west of the old jail all week, waving to the log truck drivers.
A big shout out to Dennis Hill for trying to get the County Commission to do something about an animal shelter. For shame on them; it has been on the back burner for decades. Like many tough issues, it has been put aside. And like many issues in Coosa, it is tough because of a lack of funds.
But Mr. Hill has done some homework about how animal shelters work in adjoining counties. He mentioned fundraising, volunteerism and private donations. Keep pushing, man! And Commission, keep supporting him! Anything is possible.
Ms. Christa’s article also mentioned the other side of the shelter issue. Support for spay/neuter programs. Even though I am a buzzard, I hate to see unwanted, abandoned animals.
Keep it going, read about it in the news, and I’ll be your eye in the sky. Or in the dead pine trees. Love,
Buzzy
