Jemison juvenile dies in off-road vehicle wreck

A two-vehicle crash that occurred at approximately 1:15 p.m. Thursday, June 24, has claimed the life of a Jemison juvenile.
The juvenile, 14, was critically injured when the off-road vehicle the teen was driving overturned in the roadway and was struck by a 2002 Nissan Pathfinder, driven by Ashley Nicole McDaniel, 28, of Jemison.
The juvenile was transported to Children’s Hospital in Birmingham, where the teen later succumbed to injuries.
The crash occurred on Chilton County Road 38, approximately five miles west of Jemison, in Chilton County. Nothing further is available as Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.
