Central Alabama Electric Cooperative trustee, president/CEO elected to statewide association board
Tom Stackhouse Terry Mitchell
Tom Stackhouse of Rockford, president and CEO of Central Alabama Electric Cooperative, and Terry Mitchell of Sylacauga, CAEC trustee, have been elected to the Board of Directors of the Alabama Rural Electric Association.
Stackhouse will also serve on the Education Committee, and Mitchell will serve as chairman of the Legislative Committee.
The Alabama Rural Electric Association is the not-for-profit, member-owned statewide trade association representing Alabama’s 22 electric distribution cooperatives, PowerSouth Energy Cooperative and the Tennessee Valley Authority.
Together, they deliver power to more than one million people, or a quarter of the state’s population, and they maintain more than 71,000 miles of power line.
