Pet of the Week: Tucker
Many kittens, others from which to choose
The Humane Society of Elmore County has a cutie for this week’s Pet of the Week feature. His name is Tucker, and he is a 10-month-old male hound mix, roughly 40 pounds, so won’t get much larger than he is now. Tucker is super playful and a friendly boy, loves toys, great with other dogs, cats and children. Sounds like the perfect companion, doesn’t he? He just needs a little more help with walking on the leash. He also has the neatest mixture of color in his fur, pretty and very different.
Yes, Tucker is just one of many looking for a new and forever home where he can be loved and call the place and the family his own.
The shelter is still under COVID-19 restrictions, so if you are interested in meeting with Tucker or others living there, just fill out an application, completed via email to hselco@bellsouth.net or call 334-567-3377. Once the adoption papers are approved, you will be granted an appointment time to visit the shelter to mingle with the animals. If you are interested in a kitten, they have a fresh new stock from which to choose.
Kitten adoption fees are $50, cats more than a year old are your choice of donation, and dogs are $100. This includes neuter/spay of the animal, which is mandatory; plus heartworm check; basic immunizations; rabies shot if old enough; microchip; deworming; and a visit to your participating veterinarian.
Until next time, take care of God’s animals, and love them as your kidlets.
