Thankful for all our columnists
Well, I enjoyed sitting back and reading “the News” last week. Not that it was terribly exciting…there is not a lot of violence and mayhem. But there is news, about education and senior centers and government officials trying to stretch limited funds over a spread-out population. And Ms. Christa brings it all together as the editor.
But what sets “the News” above other small town papers is the columns! Woo boy, people sure have a lot to share. Whether it is community happenings, religion, education, dogs, cooking, or what makes the south southern…there is always something to read in the paper. And the politics, agree or disagree, it’s good to know how the wind blows.
These columns are done by volunteers. No pay, just the chance to express views in print. I, for one, certainly appreciate each and every one. Because they strengthen our sense of community. Sharing. Thank you.
Keep sharing, and I’ll be your eye in the sky.
