Kellyton man arrested for shooting, endangerment
By Christa Jennings
Laruan Darby
A Kellyton man was arrested early last month on three shooting-related charges.
Sheriff Michael Howell explained that the Sheriff’s Office was called out to County Road 85 in the Kellyton area. The call was in reference to an individual shooting at a victim.
Howell said deputies arrived on the scene and made contact with the suspect, 30-year-old Laruan Darby of Kellyton.
Upon further investigation, Darby was arrested May 1 and charged with shooting into an occupied building, reckless endangerment and being an ex-felon in possession of a firearm.
Darby’s total bond for all three charges was set at $17,000. He has since been released on bond to await trial.
