Sheriff Howell attends FBI Academy
Special to the News
Sheriff Michael Howell had the distinct honor of attending the first ever National Command Course for Sheriffs and Chiefs held by the Federal Bureau of Investigation, or FBI.
Howell graduated the course last Friday May 21. This was the first National Command Course in FBI history and was fully funded by the FBI.
Howell was the only sheriff or chief in the state of Alabama to attend this course.
He stated, “I am both humbled and honored to have had this great opportunity. It was a distinct honor for me to not only attend the academy, but to also meet General John Kelly from the U.S. Marine Corps.”
Howell added, “I truly benefited from this training and look forward to implementing new ideas to better serve our county.”
