Celebrating Staff Appreciation Week, more
Central High School Coosa County celebrated Staff Appreciation Week last week. SGA members Grace Calfee and Makenna Sanders created bouquets with Rock Candy to let the staff know “You Rock” and M&Ms printed with a prescription for “Chill Pills.”
They also gave students the opportunity to write messages of appreciation to staff members. Grace and Makenna made homemade fortune cookies and put the student messages inside them. SGA members such as Mallory Parrish provided teachers with “room service.”

Senior economic students learned an important life skill, completing a 1040 tax return. First students learned how to complete a tax return as a class and then practiced with a partner. Lastly, the students completed a tax return individually with a class average of 85% accuracy. Photo submitted by SGA
ETS (Educational Talent Search through CACC ) members received awards/prizes/breakfast for their academic achievements this school year at this Dare to Dream program held on May 6. Photo submitted by SGA
The Career Technical Education Award Celebration was held on May 11 for students who achieved completer status in a CTE pathway. Of the 43 seniors this academic year, 36 received this status.
