ARRESTS
On April 27, Corporal Rudd arrested Kory Lanord Simmons of Houston, Texas, on a Fugitive from Justice Warrant from the state of Texas. He was booked into the Coosa County Jail with no bond to await extradition back to Texas.
On April 30, Chief Long arrested Hunter Lafayette Saffold of Goodwater on warrants for FTA-Possession of Controlled Substance and FTA-Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. He was booked into the Coosa County Jail with no bond.
On May 1, Investigator Fenn arrested Laruan Terrell Darby of Kellyton on charges of Shooting into an Occupied Building, Reckless Endangerment and Felon in Possession of Firearm. He was booked into the Coosa County Jail with a $17,000 bond.
CALLS FOR SERVICE
STEWARTVILLE
On April 27th, Deputies were dispatched to the 2000 block of CR 53 for a Domestic Disturbance. One of the persons had left prior to the Deputy’s arrival. A report was completed and the incident is still under investigation.
WEOGUFKA
On April 28th, Deputies were dispatched to the 20000 block of CR 29 for a report of Theft of Property. A report was completed, and the property was recovered the incident is still under investigation.
HANOVER
On April 30th, Deputies were dispatched to the 200 block of CR 75 for a Theft of Property. A report was completed and turned over to investigators.
MT OLIVE
On April 26th, Deputies were dispatched to CR 511 for a report of a car hitting a dog. A report was completed and turned over to investigators.
On April 30th, ALEA and Deputies were dispatched to the 7000 block of US 280 for a motor vehicle accident. No injuries were reported and the scene was turned over to Troopers.
KELLYTON
On April 28th, Deputies were dispatched to CR 126 for a report of Harassing Communications. A report was completed and turned over to investigators.
On April 30th, Kellyton EMS and Deputies were dispatched to the 600 block of CR 85 for a report of a domestic dispute. One person was transferred to Russell Medical Center. A report was completed and turned over to investigators.
On May 2nd, Deputies were dispatched to Applewood Drive for a report of Harassment. A report was completed and is still under investigation.
ROCKFORD
On April 30th, Deputies were dispatched to the 19000 block of AL HWY 22 for a report for Theft of Services. A report was completed and the incident is still under investigation.
EQUALITY
On April 28th, Deputies were dispatched to the 1100 block of CR 51 for an alarm call. Once on scene, the Deputy checked all doors and windows and deemed the alarm to be false.
RAY
On April 26th, Erik C. Revens, a Registered Sex Offender, who lives on AL HWY 22, reported to the Sheriff’s Office for his Quarterly Sex Offender Registration.
LAKE MITCHELL
On April 26th, Deputies were dispatched to Water Spring Lane for a report for Theft of Property. A report was completed and the incident is under investigation.
