A Jemison man was recently arrested after allegedly breaking into a vehicle and stealing items from it.
Sheriff Michael Howell reported that a report was filed with his office regarding a vehicle being broken into on Cedar Circle in the Weogufka community. The victim further stated that items had been stolen from the vehicle.
Howell said the investigation determined that 33-year-old Christopher Ray of Jemison was responsible for breaking into the vehicle and stealing items.
Ray was arrested on April 13 and charged with unlawful breaking and entering of a motor vehicle and third-degree theft of property.
Ray’s total bond was set at $10,000. As of press time he remained in custody at the Coosa County Jail awaiting trial.
