ARRESTS
On April 19, Captain Hammond arrested William Landon Story of Alexander City on a warrant for Illegal Use of Synthetic Urine. He was booked into the Coosa County Jail with a $500 bond.
On April 19, Deputy Ward and Corporal Rudd arrested Tracy Obrien Blackburn of Shelby for Escape from Childersburg Work Release earlier in the day. He was booked into the Coosa County Jail as a Fugitive from Justice until being released back to Department of Corrections.
On April 20, Captain Hammond arrested Emily Ann Smith of Wetumpka on a warrant for Violation of Drug Court. She was booked into the Coosa County Jail with no bond. On April 21, Corporal Rudd served another warrant for Failure to Pay Child Support. Her bond in that charge is set at $1,500 cash.
On April 21, Captain Hammond arrested Woodrow Duane Dougherty of Ashland on a warrant for Theft by Deception. He was booked into the Coosa County Jail with a $2,500 bond.
On April 21, Corporal Rudd arrested Christopher Adam Grantham of Childersburg on a warrant for FTA-Assault 3rd. He was booked into the Coosa County Jail with a $3,691.52 cash bond.
On April 22, Deputy Middlebrooks arrested Lakesha Roshelle Perkins of Pell City on a warrant for FTA-Driving while Suspended. She was booked into the Coosa County Jail with a $1,000 bond.
On April 24, Deputy Ward arrested Jaron Tait Compton of Weogufka on Warrants for FTA-Driving While Suspended and FTA-Switched Tag. He was booked into the Coosa County Jail with a $1,384.80 cash bond.
On April 24, Deputy Ward arrested Justin Dale Ward of Eclectic on warrants for FTA-Operating Vehicle Without Insurance, FTA-No Drivers License and FTA-Failure to Register Vehicle. He was booked into the Coosa County Jail with a $3,000 bond.
CALLS FOR SERVICE
STEWARTVILLE
On April 20th, Deputies and Game Warden were dispatched to the 300 block of CR68 for a report of multiple gunshots in the area. Once on scene, Deputies could not locate anyone or a vehicle. No report was needed.
On April 20th, Billy Ford Sr., a Registered Sex Offender, who lives on CR150, reported to the Sheriff’s Office for his Quarterly Sex Offender Registration.
On April 21st, Deputies were dispatched to Bice Road for a report of Harassing Communications. A report was completed and is still under investigation.
On April 21st, Deputies were dispatched to the 24000 block of US231 for a report for Unauthorized use of a Motor Vehicle. A report was completed and turned over to Investigators.
On April 25th, Deputies were dispatched to the area of US231 and CR68 for a report of shots fired. Once in the area, Deputies could not find anyone shooting. No report was needed.
WEOGUFKA
On April 19th, Deputies were dispatched to Quail Lane for a report of a possible escapee in the area. Once on scene, Deputies arrested a person that had escaped from Childersburg Work Release.
On April 24th, Stewartville VFD and Deputies were dispatched to CR29 at the Talladega County line for a report of trees in the road. The roadway was cleared and all units were back in service. No report was needed.
HANOVER
On April 24th, Deputies were dispatched to the 3000 block of CR75 for an alarm. Once on scene, the Deputy spoke with homeowner and deemed the alarm to be false. No report was needed.
KEYNO
On April 24th, Deputies were dispatched to CR71 for a report of an alarm. Once on scene, the Deputy spoke with the homeowner and deemed the alarm to be false. No report was needed.
GOODWATER
On April 20th, Kenneth Swindell, a Registered Sex Offender, who lives on Queen Street, reported to the Sheriff’s Office for his Quarterly Sex Offender Registration.
On April 20th, Raul Sarasa II, a Registered Sex Offender, who lives on Rich Circle, reported to the Sheriff’s Office for his Quarterly Sex Offender Registration.
On April 20th, Brian Caudle, a Registered Sex Offender, who lives on CR86, reported to the Sheriff’s Office for his Quarterly Sex Offender Registration.
On April 24th, Goodwater EMS, Hanover VFD, Deputies and ALEA were dispatched to the 8000 block of US280 for a motor vehicle accident. No injuries were reported and the scene was turned over to Troopers.
KELLYTON
On April 19th, Kellyton VFD and EMS, Alex City EMS, Lifesaver, ALEA and Deputies were dispatched to CR87 for a motor vehicle accident. One person was transported to a Birmingham Hospital. The scene was turned over to Troopers.
On April 19th, Deputies were dispatched to US280 underneath Hatchett Creek Bridge for a report of shots fired. Once on scene, the Deputy spoke with 3 individuals that were shooting a new gun. No report was needed.
On April 20th, Jimmy Nicholson III, a Registered Sex Offender, who lives on CR28, reported to the Sheriff’s Office for his Quarterly Sex Offender Registration.
On April 20th, Thomas Kelley, a Registered Sex Offender, who lives on CR85, reported to the Sheriff’s Office for his Quarterly Sex Offender Registration.
On April 20th, Charles Gardner, a Registered Sex Offender, who lives on Trailer Park Road, reported to the Sheriff’s Office for his Quarterly Sex Offender Registration.
On April 22nd, Deputies were dispatched to Long Tree Drive for a report of a Shooting. A report was completed and is still under investigation.
On April 22nd, Kellyton VFD and EMS, along with ALEA and Deputies were dispatched to US280 at Baker Road for a motor vehicle accident. One person was transported to Russell Medical Center. The Scene was turned over to Troopers.
RICHVILLE
On April 20th, William Lowe, a Registered Sex Offender, who lives on CR105, reported to the Sheriff’s Office for his Quarterly Sex Offender Registration.
On April 25th, Deputies and ALEA were dispatched to CR14 for a motor vehicle accident. No injuries were reported. The scene was turned over to Troopers.
ROCKFORD
On April 20th, Adam Ivey, a Registered Sex Offender, who lives on Hill Street, reported to the Sheriff’s Office for his Quarterly Sex Offender Registration.
On April 20th, Deputies were dispatched to Smith Street for a report of a Stolen Vehicle. A report was completed and turned over to Investigators.
On April 22nd, Deputies were dispatched to Morris Lane for a private property vehicle accident. A report was completed and turned over to Investigators.
COTTAGE GROVE / HISSOP
On April 23rd, ALEA and Deputies were dispatched to the 7000 block of AL HWY22 for a vehicle accident. No injuries were reported and the scene was turned over to Troopers.
EQUALITY
On April 23rd, Deputies were dispatched to the 500 block of AL HWY9 for a gas drive off. A report was completed for Theft of Property.
On April 24th, Deputies were dispatched to Fox Run Road for an alarm. Once on scene, the Deputy spoke with homeowner and deemed the alarm to be false.
RAY
On April 19th, Deputies were dispatched to CR119 for a Fight. One subject left prior to the Deputy’s arrival. A report was completed and tuned over to Investigators.
On April 20th, Marvin Wright, a Registered Sex Offender, who lives on CR91, reported to the Sheriff’s Office for his Quarterly Sex Offended Registration.
On April 20th, Joseph Hay, a Registered Sex Offender, who lives on CR135, reported to the Sheriff’s Office for his Quarterly Sex Offender Registration.
On April 20th, Willard Thornton, a Registered Sex Offender, who lives on AL HWY22, reported to the Sheriff’s Office for his Quarterly Sex Offender Registration.
