God gives peace during storms
Disappointment has robbed many people of their joy, happiness, peace, concern, and love. Yes, I have been robbed, also, but I will keep my joy.
God gave it to me, and no one can take it away. Yes, I do get sad and hurt sometimes because of many reasons. I feel the peace is leaving, but I am reminded when Mrs. Joyce Taylor sang the song “The Only Real Peace That I have Dear Lord is in You.”
I love to be reminded of God’s goodness. Then I go to Him in prayer and find that real peace that man cannot provide. I pray that everyone who has lost their peace will find it in Jesus.
I have been disappointed and hurt through death, loved ones leaving us, people going nuts, killing, lying, etc., but if we keep our mind stayed on God, He will make it alright and give us real peace.
I needed that peace when I got the news of my niece Denise Johnson’s death and nephew Columbus D. Cook. Denise had wished me a lovely birthday wish and showed a lovely photo of herself (on Facebook) just days before she passed.
Now, I am not a Facebook participant, but friends and family have shown me so much love and caring for my birthday on Facebook that I believe I will become a Facebook participant. My friend Frankie would love that. Facebook has good things; I just don’t have the time for it, but for my birthday I saw and read everyone’s greetings, and I cried.
What a blessing and joy for me to see all the names shouting out love to a lady who sometimes feels that birthdays are forgotten. I want to thank Frankie (Boosie) and all my friends and family. Believe me, I am still getting greetings. God will give you peace in the middle of a storm. Ask Him!
Birthday wishes go out to all April babies. I hope Mrs. Patsy Johnston and Mr. Pete Phillips enjoyed their birthdays. You all are special to us and to see that you have had many good birthdays and are still in good shape (smile).
Happy anniversary to my best friends, Lee and Frankie Cousin, for 52 years of abundant love.
Let us continue to pray for the Hicks family, the Johnson family, the Brown family, Mrs. Vickie Scott, and others who are under the weather. You are on my mind, Mrs. Betty Riggins Buckner, with lots of love and caring.
We are thinking of you, Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Higgins and Mr. and Mrs. David Tuck. We miss seeing you so much, and you know we love you.
Thank you, Commissioner Unzell Kelley, for your message. I laughed. It was uplifting.
