By Christa Jennings
Kenneth Brandon Bolt
A Kellyton man who is a registered sex offender was recently arrested for violating the Sex Offender Registration and Notification Act, or SORNA.
Sheriff Michael Howell stated that Kenneth Brandon Bolt was performing his quarterly reporting in Coosa County and that he was registered as living in the county.
However, it was discovered that he was actually residing in another county and had not updated his information to reflect his change in residence or reporting agency.
A warrant was issued, and on March 24 Bolt, 25 years old of Kellyton, was arrested on the charge of failing to comply with SORNA.
Bolt’s bond has been set at $10,000, and as of press time he remains in custody at the Coosa County Jail awaiting trial.
