Don’t take it personally
Y’all, remember I am a buzzard for heavens’ sakes! I don’t have all the facts, don’t do meetings and don’t really communicate well with others. I care about our community. I notice things. I call attention to them. And sometimes, I have what the community seems to lack…excitement, passion and, dare I say, humor?
So: I’m a community buzzard on the community page. I recognize folks from time to time, but I have never and won’t ever attack anyone personally in my column.
Thank you, Ms. Jodi, for your letter with background about Rockford’s Magnolia Trail. Good publicity! And thank you, Mayor White, for explaining the policies on Facebook and seeing that the gate is open. Clears things up. I hope to see folks out exercising in the fresh spring air.
Speaking of which… I applaud all the spring litter cleanup articles recently. But, just as my grand-birds were starting to nest in an old house on County Road 95 (at the corner with County Road 145), some slime dumped a load of OLD TIRES! The sheriff should investigate. Do tires have fingerprints? We can’t just sit back and let people continue to trash our county!
Hopefully the sheriff will get to the bottom of this. You can read about it in the news – now available at the dollar stores and more.
