Dog’s love is unconditional

Pet of the Week: Mandy
The featured pet for adoption this week from the humane shelter in Wetumpka at highways 231 and 9 is Mandy. Mandy is a too cute hound mix female, 5-and-a-half months old, weighing about 35 pounds. She is a busy girl with energy to burn, so she is hoping for an active family with whom she can have lots of fun. Mandy would be a great running or hiking partner, going on adventures with her owner. Mandy is great with other dogs and children.
The same rules and regulations apply because of COVID-19, so if you are interested in meeting with Mandy or other animals at the shelter, you first need to ask for and complete an application; once that is accepted, an appointment will be set up at your convenience to meet the animals. The shelter no longer conducts walk-through adoptions as before because of the spread of COVID-19. Contact the shelter at hselco@bellsouth.net or call them, 334-567-3377, for an application.
The adoption fee for dogs is $100 and for cars $50, with cats more than a year old adopted for your choice of donation. The fees include spay/neuter, which is mandatory; heartworm test; basic immunizations; rabies shot if old enough; microchip; deworming; and a check-up with your participating vet. A great deal for all the provided items, plus the satisfaction of giving a well-deserving animal a good and loving home. Remember, a dog’s love is absolutely unconditional, and always there for you no matter what.
Until next time,
The Dog Lover
